The study of this dissertation provides a solution to a very specific problem instance in the area of data mining, data warehousing, and service-oriented architecture in publishing and newspaper industries. The research question focuses on the integration of data mining and data warehousing. The research problem focuses on the development of intelligent information retrieval and web mining technique using SOA to accelerate the processing time at lower cost. The findings of the research are proved by designing and developing a prototype. The solution can be applied to resolve similar practical problems in various domains, including media stations, magazines, military, and medicine.
