The upturn in enrollments at community colleges is due to: new recruiting methods, expanded career programs, better coordination with other schools, flexibility, increased community services, services to the aging, special services to veterans, and manpower training. (Author/PG)

The communiversity concept includes the full array of formal educational institutions in a locality as well as the many less education-centered organizations having educational components within them. Its impact on community colleges is examined and the need for action at the national level suggested. (LBH)
