The value patterns of the suites of 18 men and 18 women reveal significant differences among suites on overall value similarity, with political, family, and money-related values prominent. Satisfaction with the suite living experience correlated postitvely with end-of-year value similarity. (Author)

Analyzed students' (N=282) responses to questions about personal habits and roommate and residence hall preferences, to explore the influence of habit variables on roommate compatibility. Found that matching roommates on potential causes of conflict had some effect on interaction and compatibility. (ABB)

Members of a commune and members of a fraternity and a sorority were compared on measures of attitude and behavior. As predicted, commune residents demonstrated significantly more favorable attitudes toward non-traditional values.
