Kallai, Arava Y.; Henik, Avishai – Journal of Experimental Psychology: Learning, Memory, and Cognition, 2023
Given that both children and adults struggle with fractions in mathematics education, we investigated the processing of nonsymbolic fractions in a continuous form of part-of-the-whole. Kareev, Yaakov – Journal of Experimental Child Psychology, 1981
Forty children listened to stories and then answered questions about temporally neutral and temporally tagged information. Observed interactions among age, additional processing, and kind of information demonstrated the importance of the distinction between these types of information for developmental studies of memory of prose. Finegold, Menachem; Pundak, David – Studies in Educational Evaluation, 1991
School students' conceptual frameworks in astronomy and students' levels of knowledge and conceptualization were examined for 130 students in grades 2 through 12. Knowledge and conceptualization increased with school age. A test administered to 892 students in 7 schools demonstrated that schools contributed little to education in astronomy. (SLD)
