Eko, Ewa U., Ed.
In the fall of 1969, the Six Institutions' Consortium began a 3-phase program on African and Afro-American Studies Curriculum. This project is based on the continuing interest and purpose of the consortium to pool the resources and strengthen member institutions in the direction of achieving the overall quality improvement and services that they render to undergraduate education, in-service teacher education, and faculty development. This document presents articles on: (1) The Black Arts in Higher Education; (2) The Correlation of Visual Arts and Design; (3) Black Theater and the Related Arts; (4) Black Music and the Total Black Art Experience in Today's Changing Curriculum; (5) New Curricular Patterns in the Humanities; (6) New Curricular Patterns in the Visual Arts; and (7) Activities Relative to Curriculum Development in Music.
