Working Business Professionals' Perspectives towards the Implementation of Two-Way Language Immersion Programs in Texas Public Schools

This study explores working business professionals' perspectives towards the implementation of two-way language immersion programs in Texas public schools. Participants were selected for participation by means of a pre-selection survey that assessed various aspects of the cultural, educational, linguistic, familial, and business background of the prospective participants. After participants were selected to maximize diversity, each participant participated in a primary and follow-up interview that asked questions designed to elicit meaningful perspectives regarding the participants' thoughts regarding the widespread implementation of two-way language immersion programs in Texas public schools. Interview responses were analyzed using open coding, with three categories consisting of seven themes emerging from the data, consisting of the economic, non-economic, and educational categories.
