This video guide was developed by the Peace Corps' Office of World Wise Schools. The activities it describes are designed for a 3- to 5-day unit on Nepal, one of the Peace Corps' oldest countries of service. The guide is for use in conjunction with the videotape, "Destination: Nepal." Through study of the tape and guide, students will be able to: (1) describe Nepal in terms of cultural and geographic diversity; (2) compare and contrast aspects of Nepalese and U.S. life; and (3) relate the fundamental themes of geography to Nepalese culture and geography. Separated into Level A (grades three through five), Level B (grades six through nine), and Level C (grades 10 through 12), the guide includes information for teachers, worksheets, and suggestions for using the worksheets.
