ZERO TO THREE, v38 n6 p29-37 Jul 2018
The Safe Babies Court Team™ (SBCT) is a community engagement and systems-change approach focused on improving how courts, child welfare agencies, and related child-serving organizations work together, share information, and expedite services for young children in the child welfare system. Ten sites across four states received technical assistance and training on the SBCT approach through the Quality Improvement Center for Research-Based Infant--Toddler Court Teams with the overall goal of improving child welfare outcomes. Evaluation results include characteristics of children and families involved with SBCT sites and evaluation outcomes, including positive results in safety, placements, and well-being.
