These proceedings contain eleven presentations made at the 1979 Adult Education Dissemination Conference (July 16-18) in Roanoke, Virginia, to disseminate results of demonstration projects funded by the Adult Education Act, Title VI, P.L. 95-561 and Amendments, Section 310. A brief report on a special project workshop (March 4-7, 1980) in Roanoke is also provided. Each presentation follows a similar format, including some or all of the following: objectives, results expected, findings, problems encountered, and followup recommendations. These projects are reported: Evaluation and Development of DIAL Tapes and Materials, Statewide Staff Development in Beginning Reading Competency, Planters Employee Training Program, Adult Mobile Learning Center, Promotional/Recruitment Cost Effectiveness Research, ABE (Adult Basic Education) Newsletter, Regional Material Resource Center, Rural Administrative Assistant Internship for Adult Education, Adult Learners Staff Development Competencies, A Comparison of Adult Performance Level (APL) and ABE Curriculum Materials in Norfolk Virginia (1978-1979), and Administrative/Assistant Intern Project. The report on Think Tank, the workshop, lists ten priorities for ABE students, eight areas of concern affecting participation in ABE programs, seven concerns regarding curriculum versus reality, and eight key APL areas agreed upon by participants.
