Gilani, Nighat Parveen – Journal of Adolescence, 1999
Examines ethnic/cultural differences in the effects of individualism on mother- daughter relationships during adolescence with 80 dyads of British and Pakistani mothers and daughters. Results show that when handling disagreements, both groups used an avoiding style equally, although the British group used a more dominating style. (Author/MKA)
