The Perpetuation of Segregation across Levels of Education: A Behavioral Assessment of the Contact-Hypothesis.
Braddock, Jomills Henry, II
Sociology of Education, v53 n3 p178-86 Jul 1980
The article discusses a study which examined whether Black students who attended desegregated high schools were more likely to attend desegregated colleges. Data were based on a survey of 253 randomly selected Black students in Florida. Findings indicated that attendance at an integrated high school is a major variable influencing a student to select a desegregated college. (Author/DB)
