Given the large numbers of people who are fleeing their homeland, many social workers will encounter refugees who are seeking assistance. A need for a sound understanding of the trauma suffered by these people is evident. A crisis-intervention approach for dealing with Cambodian refugees, with consideration of their unique cultural characteristics, is described. (Author/ABL)
