Orbell, John M. – Social Science Quarterly, 1970
The character of urban areas is found to be related to personal morale but not to political efficacy. The morale of Blacks in central areas of cities is found to be higher than that of whites and movement from one area to another was found to affect the morale of only those residents with relatively little education.
