Science is an often ignored subject in the elementary grades. This article lists and briefly discusses ten suggestions for strengthening and enriching an elementary science curriculum. Among the ways given are science fairs, museums, outdoor learning centers, filmstrips clinics, and school weather stations. (MA)

The use of cassette tapes and learning stations allowed a group of youngsters, ranging in age from 7-11, whose reading levels ranged from preprimer to over sixth grade, to advance individually and at their own pace.
