Describes study that was designed to determine whether program of instruction could be developed to teach high school students library and information-gathering skills that would prove useful to them in college. Results indicate that program of instruction makes significant impact on students' attitudes and performance; however, transfer of these beneficial effects to undergraduate study is less clear.
