A study analyzed the annual cost per student of each curriculum of selected community colleges to show the relationship between costs of vocational-technical curricula and common baccalaureate oriented curricula. Correlational analyses indicated associations between impact of the disclosure and salary level, salary equity/satisfaction, instrumentality of performance-reward outcomes, internal salary attributions, and salary discussion. Economic activity generated by federally-supported research and development in New York State is estimated at 3.7 times the level of original federal spending, generating enough national and state tax revenues to offset the original federal outlay of taxpayers' money. In a study of the compensation of more than 600 college and university presidents, both individual and institutional characteristics were found to predict salary.
