Acceptance of disability was examined in its relationship to two aspects of self-concept: self-esteem and satisfaction with social relationships. Acceptance of disability was concluded to be a part of self-concept in general. (Author)

This study compared a physically disabled population with a nondisabled population of college students in a survey that explored attitudes about various sexual behaviors and the participants' own feelings of sexuality. The disabled group scored significantly lower in regard to their own feelings of sexuality. (Author)

State anxiety shown by subjects in interactions with a disabled person were compared. Interactions with disabled persons result in increased state anxiety for the normal person. (Author/EK)

Coordinators of graduate rehabilitation counselor-education programs were surveyed to find if they were being required to do more with fewer resources. Indications are that such a trend is occurring. Findings suggest steps that can be taken to improve or alleviate the strain of insufficient resources and increased responsibilities. (Author)

The purpose of this study was to ascertain if the attitudes of university students in special education courses could be changed in specific directions. The findings of this study supported the notion that instructors can change the attitudes of their students with a carefully planned and sequenced instructional program. (Author)
