Alterman, Arthur I.; And Others – Psychological Assessment, 1993
One month test-retest reliability of the Revised Psychopathy Checklist (PCL-R) was examined in 88 methadone-maintained males, along with effects of increased information about patients on PCL-R scores and diagnostic derivations. Test-retest reliabilities are quite good. Other findings also confirm potential utility of the PCL-R for research. (SLD)

Mumma, Gregory H. – Psychological Assessment, 2004
This article describes a method for the intraindividual clinical validation of a cognitive case formulation (CCF) involving hypotheses about the patient's idiosyncratic cognitive schema (ICS). Tierney, Mary C.; And Others – Psychological Assessment, 1994
Thirty-eight elderly control subjects performed better than did 18 patients with moderate Alzheimer's disease (AD), 33 with severe AD, and 12 with Parkinson's dementia on all measures of the Rey Auditory Verbal Learning Test. Results indicate that the test is useful in distinguishing AD from Parkinson's dementia. (SLD)

Russo, Joan – Psychological Assessment, 1994
Thurstone's scaling based on judgments of 527 students and 37 clinical faculty members was applied to the Beck Depression Inventory, the Zung Depression Scale, and the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory and fitted the observed data well. Gallucci, Nicholas T. – Psychological Assessment, 1994
Validities of the Harris-Lingoes subscales and MacAndrew scale of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) in estimation of criterion measures were evaluated with 177 adolescent inpatients. Results were consistent with predictions that excitatory and inhibitory scales and subscales would be related to criteria of behavioral control…

Heiby, Elaine M. – Psychological Assessment, 1995
This introduction to a special section provides the basic definitions and presents the measurement approaches and data analytic techniques that are collectively referred to as chaos theory. The conceptualization and assessment of unstable behavioral disorders can be strengthened by incorporating elements of chaos theory. (SLD)
Descriptors: Behavior Disorders, Behavior Patterns, Chaos Theory, Clinical Diagnosis

Satz, Paul; And Others – Psychological Assessment, 1996
Four validity scales were developed for the Neuropsychology Behavior and Affect Profile using data from clinical and nonclinical samples. Kobak, Kenneth A.; And Others – Psychological Assessment, 1993
A developed computer-administered form of the Hamilton Anxiety Scale and the clinician form of the instrument were administered to 214 psychiatric outpatients and 78 community adults. Descriptors: Adults, Anxiety, Clinical Diagnosis, Comparative Testing

Gilley, David W.; And Others – Psychological Assessment, 1995
The level of agreement between the patient and a collateral source with regard to depressive symptomatology was compared for 185 patients with Alzheimer's-type dementia (AD), 57 patients with Parkinson's disease, and 54 nondemented geriatric referrals. Grant, Carolyn D.; Nash, Michael R. – Psychological Assessment, 1995
In a counterbalanced, within subjects, repeated measures design, 130 undergraduates were administered the Computer-Assisted Hypnosis Scale (CAHS) and the Stanford Hypnotic Susceptibility Scale and were hypnotized. Beidel, Deborah C.; And Others – Psychological Assessment, 1995
A new instrument, the Social Phobia and Anxiety Inventory for Children (SPAI-C), was developed.
