Grit Curriculum in the Career Exploration Classroom: A Quantitative Study
Jennifer L. Wilburn
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, Lincoln Memorial University
Faculty at a small rural high school were concerned that students would not be able to manage the transition to a much larger high school through consolidation without the level of support to which they were accustomed. The purpose of this research was to measure the effectiveness of grit curriculum implementation on student grit scale scores. The researcher determined that the implementation of grit curriculum in a "Career Exploration/Careers through Character" classroom did have a statistically significant effect on student grit scale scores. Additionally, the researcher found that ethnicity and gender did not have a statistically significant effect on student grit scale scores.
