ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, Wingate University
The COVID-19 pandemic forced a global move to distance education, and many keep using different aspects and tools for online learning. Online course enrollments are growing steadily among graduate and undergraduate students. Satisfaction with online courses is becoming a top priority for many colleges and universities. The competition for online students is very high in higher education. Schools need to know and be able to implement factors that have the most significant impact on student satisfaction. This study examined student satisfaction with online courses in a small private university based on course structure and interactions with instructors and other students. Based on the survey and focus group results, the study offers practical recommendations for professional development for instructors and quality online course development.
