The focus of the descriptive study utilizing a sequential explanatory design was to develop a comprehensive examination of ongoing development and improvement of an Administrative Professional Program at "Midwest College," a vocational-technical college in the Midwest. A Career Pathway (CP) is a logical, expressed grouping of dynamic scholarly and career/technical, specialized courses, starting in secondary school and prompting an associate's degree, a baccalaureate degree, and beyond. The technique, adopted at the government, state and local levels, aims to increase academics and training opportunities for America's present and rising workforce. The CP approach is an incorporated accumulation of programs and services planned to build up students' scholastic, specialized and employability aptitudes; furnish them with ceaseless instruction, preparation; and put them in high-demand, high-opportunity occupations. A CP activity comprises of a partnership between the community and technical colleges, primary and secondary schools, workforce and community-based organizations, industry and business groups, and social service providers. The study provides deeper understanding and insight into the implementation practices and beliefs of the CP approach. Human Capital Theory (Becker, 1994) undergirds the study's theoretical framework. The part of human capital is twofold. There are immediate impacts; in that, the more human capital an individual can draw on, the better the results in areas associated with Path-Goal Theory (House, 1971); Goal Attainment (Elliot, 2005); workforce development; and work-preparedness of students. Also, human capital empowers the use of social capital, permitting the quest for advantages and the ensuing advancement of self-efficacy. Implications for the research include consistent evaluation and additional CP approaches to bolster student growth and development, as well as participation and activities which undergird student enrollment, completion, and transition to 4-year college or university. Additionally, the research recommends additional participation the intentional use of campus identity themes in strategic planning activities and evaluation and assessment. The overall findings revealed a positive and significant influence on students enrolled in the Administrative Professional Program at "Midwest College."
