Purpose: To present the first complete Guide for studying the Western-Ukrainian Dialect and its scientific description of Phonology. Methodology: descriptive, contrastive and analytical methods of defining the peculiarities of the Dialect. Results: the regularities and the laws have been defined as to the specifics of the Western-Ukrainian Dialect Phonology; the manual has been created with the main topics to teach. Conclusions: the Western-Ukrainian Dialect, in comparison with Polish, Standard Ukrainian and Russian, appears to be a living language of the Western-Ukrainian population living mainly in the rural area. It has common peculiarities that combine the Slavic Languages norms, as well as its own specifics that add to the general studies of the Slavic Languages. Recommendations: for Departments of Foreign and Slavic Languages, Comparative Linguistics, Phonology and Linguistic Typology.
