Blacks have received the largest share of aid under Federally assisted manpower programs, especially youth oriented programs. Comments are offered concerning direct and indirect benefits of some of these programs. In spite of such programs most of the human resources of blacks remain untapped, reflecting the enormity of the task. (SA)

English-for-employment classes are being held at The College of DuPage, Illinois, for Cambodian and Vietnamese refugees. Basic vocabulary and communicating skills are taught with emphasis on terms used in the workplace. Teaching methods and employment objectives are discussed. (LH)

The article discusses several job development projects for ex-addicts where professional staffs offer employment assistance. With Federal, business, and labor sponsorship, several pilot projects attempt to help former addicts gain access to jobs, training programs, and vocational rehabilitation services. (Author/JB)
