Concludes that there are two subgroups in the newspaper nonreader population: typical nonreaders (the young, old, poor, and undereducated) and atypical nonreaders (middle-aged, upper income, highly educated adults who ignore the daily newspaper because of lack of time and dissatisfaction with content).
