Presents statistics on the changing human resources mix in the labor force, which vocational counselors should be aware of. Trends include higher percentages of women working, and older men and married men leaving the work force. One result is an increasing number of persons are able to retire earlier. (JAC)

Reviews women's present and expected future place in the world of work. Two issues growing out of changes have taken place in women's economic roles: the expansion of the range of occupations in which women engage, and work structure flexibility responding to the intertwined nature of work and family lives are recommended.
