Rape Callousness in College Freshmen: An Empirical Investigation of the Sociocultural Model of Aggression towards Women.
Bell, Susan T.; And Others
Journal of College Student Development, v33 n5 p454-61 Sep 1992
Examined extent to which rape callous attitudes are related to first-year students' sexual attitudes and experiences, view of gender roles, and level of social consciousness and liberality. Questionnaire data from students (n=557) revealed a strong, multiple correlation between rape callous or rape supportive attitudes and predictor variables measuring "hypersexualized" socialization, social consciousness, and liberalism.
