Comments on a recent proposal by Fox (1982) that suggested that clinical psychology move away from psychopathology to the totality of human problems. Cites evidence that suggests that many of the roles that Fox sees as appropriate for doctoral-level clinical psychologists are being performed adequately by social workers. (JAC)
