Studied exhibitionistic and nonexhibitionistic criminal offenses as they relate to severity of psychopathology as measured by the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory in 84 exhibitionists. An increase in psychopathology was not associated with an increase in chronicity of exhibitionistic activity in exhibitionists. (JAC)

Hart, Ronald R. – Journal of Clinical Psychology, 1984
Cluster analyzed the MMPI profiles of 70 male chronic pain patients into four homogeneous subgroups. Mean composites for each subgrouping were entered into a PDP 11 computer to generate an objective actuarial narrative description. Investigated the relationship of the MacAndrew Alcoholism Scale (MAC) to personality type and level of emotional distress using Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory scores of 38 alcoholic males. Rated the audio portions of videotaped segments of 32 dyadic interviews between A-type and B-type undergraduate males for accurate empathy using Truax's AE-Scale.
