Extension must be concerned with training programs for its increasing number of program assistants. Specific suggestions for pre-service and in-service training including subject matter areas and instructional approaches are made. Before organizing activities, selection of program assistants should be carefully considered, the role position defined, and therelationship of the position to professionals and the community be determined.
