Wishing Won't Work: 10 Things You Need to Know and Do when Applying for Technology Grants
Gerding, Stephanie; MacKellar, Pam
Computers in Libraries, v26 n7 p6-8, 54-60 Jul-Aug 2006
This article explores obtaining grants as a way of funding technology projects in the library. The authors' approach views technology as a component of a grant project or a way to accomplish the goals of a project. One can be more successful in his or her grant work by addressing existing community needs, rather than by requesting funding for technology alone. The authors cover 10 things that one needs to know and do in order to make grant applications more successful. The authors have written sections on all of these topics. (Contains 4 endnotes.)
