A sample of 168 male and 169 female college students on a secondary curriculum responded to statements as to why secondary teaching was preferable to elementary and to conditions that would cause them to consider teaching at the elementary level. Sex and attitude toward sex role showed no significant difference. (Author)

The study was to obtain information on student attitudes in making administrative plans and decisions reciprocal with the needs and beliefs of students. Results indicated tolerance for private activity, moderate disregard of rules and traditional mores, and rejection of extreme behaviors. Administrative implications were discussed. (Author)

Pre-service teachers (N=113) responded to a semantic differential to assess attitudes toward five concepts. Significant differences were found in the responses to the five concepts, with students being negative in their attitudes toward perceptions by professors. Study was designed to measure student attitudes toward the pass-fail system of evaluation for the student teaching sequence.
