Seminaries on a Hill
Pulley, John L.
Chronicle of Higher Education, v52 n19 pA30-A32 Jan 2006
The Andover Newton Theological School and Hebrew College, which share a hilltop campus in Boston, Massachusetts, are experimenting in academic-religious cooperation that seeks to go beyond programs that simply promote dialogue among disparate groups. The collaboration is the inspiration of Reverend Nick Carter, president of the Christian school, and Rabbi David M. Gordis, who are seeking to train a generation of religious leaders who would move beyond the insular, hierarchical prototypes of the past.
