Performance by 77 hearing-impaired elementary students on test of visual processing was compared with scores on a test of reading comprehension. Performance intelligence quotient correlated with both visual processing and reading scores. Some variance in reading scores was explained by intelligence quotient and performance on memory tests for visual stimuli. (Author/PB)
