Administered questionnaire to 480 Israeli adolescents. Found that adolescents who had steady dates were perceived by peers as possessing higher self-esteem, self-perception of higher self-esteem, higher correspondence to their gender's identity, and self-perception of higher correspondence to their gender's identity. Identified some factors accounting for relatively flexible gender role orientation among adolescent mothers (n=118). Education and support from family, peers, and the father of the child(ren) were predictive of positive attitude toward combining career and child-care roles and competing in labor market on equal basis with males.
