Daniella Mihalik-Kucsma; Krisztina Varga
International Society for Technology, Education, and Science, Paper presented at the International Conference on Research in Education and Science (ICRES) (Cappadocia, Turkey, May 18-21, 2023)
One of the most popular topics is education, and this study will also focus on this area. In this research, we will examine examples of social innovation in education and the impact of these practices, with a particular focus on social sustainability. Our aim is to present social innovation programmes and good practices in the national and international field that can be identified as educationally equitable solutions and can be adapted and sustained to enhance well-being, taking into account local needs and demands and the specificities of the community. Within the framework of this study, the good practices examined are presented in a structured way, emphasizing key elements that ensure social sustainability. The study also seeks to answer the question of how the social innovation-based education programmes examined support the process of social sustainability and how these programmes can help to sustain core values. The value of this study is structured around both the theme of social innovation and the theme of sustainability. [For the full proceedings, see ED654100.]
