Focusing on educational administration in Canada, this paper deals with three aspects: concerns of educational administrators, preparation and inservice programs, and research in educational administration. The first section begins by presenting the structure and function of educational administration in Canada, including provincial departments of education, school districts, and postsecondary education. Concerns of administrators at these three levels are listed. Then information on university degree and diploma programs in educational administration are described, including enrollments and admission criteria, period of residence, focus of preparation, content area concentrations, and inservice courses. The final section deals with the overall organization of research in Canada, staff research, graduate student research, and general difficulties encountered in the conduct of research. (Author/JM)
