LaRoque, Sean Davis; Obrzut, John E. – Journal of Psychoeducational Assessment, 2006
This study used a techno-projective assessment method to analyze the relationship between pencil pressure applied during drawing tasks and state anxiety (S-anxiety) and trait anxiety (T-anxiety) levels. A highly accurate and precise pressure-sensitive palette was used by participants (N = 50) between the ages of 6 and 11 to reliably and…

Rao, Anthony V.; Potash, Herbert M. – Journal of Clinical Psychology, 1985
Hutt's hypothesis that anxiety is reflected by absolute size deviations on reproduced Bender-Gestalt figures was investigated by administering the test to 40 subjects. Measures of trait anxiety and defensive style were found to be intercorrelated significantly and to interact significantly with anxiety condition. (Author/BL)

Mellstrom, Martin, Jr.; And Others – Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1978
Compared predictive validity of anxiety measures. Undergraduates were pretested with general and specific trait anxiety measures and later exposed to situations involving a rat, a test, and social anxiety. Results indicated the predictive validity of specific measures was greater than that of general measures in 7 of 32 comparisons. (Author/BEF)

Birenbaum, Menucha; And Others – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1986
The Endler S-R Inventory of General Trait Anxiousness was analyzed employing Smallest Space Analysis (SSA) and factor analysis. The SSA yielded a two-dimensional lattice partitioning the space into regions corresponding to the situations specified in the inventory. The factor-analytic results were similar but not as informative. (Author/JAZ)

Toris, Carol – 1984
Psychologists can gain insight into human behavior by examining what people feel about, know about, and do with, computers. Two extreme reactions to computers are computer phobia, or anxiety, and computer addiction, or "hacking". A four-part questionnaire was developed to measure computer anxiety. The first part is a projective technique which…

Shapiro, Jeremy P. – Journal of Personality Assessment, 1979
A substantial portion of what has been interpreted as "fear of success" imagery of the Thematic Apperception Test is argued to involve anxiety about engaging in achievement activities traditionally considered to be inappropriate to one's sex role. (Author/JKS)

Taylor, Purcell, Jr.; Lehrer, Barry E. – 1970
One of the most persistent problems in the use of projective techniques is the need to develop objective, reliable and valid scoring systems. The sample consisted of 100 college students enrolled in an introductory psychology course. Ss were administered the DAPIR along with an extensive biographical questionnaire. Additionally, Ss were rated by…

Insua, Ana Maria; Rimoldi, Horacio J. A. – 1976
College students were presented with a series of four problems, each presented in four different formats: verbally, in abstract symbols, in negative abstract symbols, and in geometric figures. Problem-solving performance was evaluated in terms of the sequence of questions that a subject asks in order to solve a problem. They were also tested by…
