Project Outreach for the Infant Program for Visually Impaired: Final Performance Report 1978-79.
Rottman, Carol
The document, over three-fourths of which consists of appendixes, presents the 1978-79 final performance report for Project Outreach, the informational extension of the Infant Program for Visually Imapired (IPVI). Materials and media produced by Project Outreach are based on direct experience with visually impaired preschool children through the Model Demonstration Program (another component of the IPVI, which provides an observation and training site for persons working or involved with visually handicapped preschool children). Project Outreach aspects covered in the final performance report include services to children, promoting parent/family participation, assessment of child progress, inservice training for project staff, training for personnel from other programs and agencies, coordination with other agencies, information dissemination and demonstration, program replication, and program continuation. Among the appendixes are a data collection summary, a replication questionnaire sent to all persons who have used Project Outreach materials, an evaluation report, a letter of explanation and validation, and various letters of support.
