Galli, Anthony John; And Others – American Journal of Physics, 1981
Demonstrates how depth of field, exposure correction, and Scheimpflug focusing are obtained for a view camera, using elementary optics. (CS)
Descriptors: College Science, Higher Education, Optics, Photographic Equipment

Rubin, B.; Herman, R. M. – American Journal of Physics, 1981
A known but often overlooked property of optical monochromators is discussed in view of its current applications. It is shown that grating and prism monochromators hold on to light for time durations proportional to resolving power and that the dispersing ability of monochromators extends to pulses of arbitrarily short duration. (SK)

Stuewer, Roger H., Ed.; Pease, Paul L. – American Journal of Physics, 1980
Listed are selected resource materials on color vision and the measurement and specification of the stimulus for vision, photometry, and colorimetry. The author's purpose is to equip teachers and students with an understanding of normal and abnormal color vision. References are categorized relative to content level. (Author/DS)

Cowan, Dwaine O.; Wlygul, Frank M. – Chemical and Engineering News, 1986
Reviews interesting and useful electrical, magnetic, and optical properties of the organic solid state. Offers speculation as to areas of fruitful research. Discusses organic superconductors, conducting organic polymers, organic metals, and traces recent history of creation of organic metals. (JM)
Descriptors: Atomic Structure, Chemical Analysis, Chemical Bonding, Chemical Reactions
