Annotated Bibliography of Books Specifically about Foreign Language Learner Strategies
Erler, Lynn; Grenfell, Michael
Language Learning Journal, v35 n1 p95-97 Jun 2007
There are numerous publications on language learner strategies, and this bibliography of books is by no means exhaustive. They have been selected because they can be considered classics in the field and are easily available as this special issue of the "Language Learning Journal" goes to press. Though some of the books were written several decades ago, they are still in print and can be purchased through bookstores or online. They have all been written with foreign language teachers and student teachers in mind, as well as researchers in applied linguistics and second language acquisition. They are generally very readable, and in many instances inspiring, in terms of new ways of thinking about learners, supporting effective learning and achieving more effective teaching by using learner strategies.
