Response to Grace's Reflections on Allen and West's Paper
Allen, Rebecca; West, Anne
Oxford Review of Education, v35 n4 p505-507 Aug 2009
This article presents the authors' response to the Comment by Gerald Grace on their paper "Religious schools in London: school admissions, religious composition and selectivity". The Comment is a useful contribution to the academic and policy debates about religious schools and the role that empirical research can play. The authors are encouraged by the positive comments about their data and methods of inquiry and the generally positive views about the research. Gerald Grace makes a number of points which are designed "to be helpful for future researchers into the different types of faith schools". Here, the authors respond to each of these points.
