Traces the evolution of bibliographic instruction from author's standpoint and examines the Library Orientation Instruction Exchange (LOEX) Clearinghouse and literature on bibliographic instruction, noting relevant conferences, academic acceptance, a field of study for librarians, and student-directed research guides.
