Of Languages and Epistemologies: Reflections of a Graduate International Student on the Road to Becoming a Researcher
Colombo, Laura
Journal of International Students, v4 n1 p104-105 2014
It is late at night, after working all day on her postdoctoral research Laura Colombo is trying to wind down while drawing and jotting down thoughts in her notebook. She is in the living room/office of her apartment in Buenos Aires, the city where she was born and left when she was 26 years old to pursue her graduate studies in the United States of America where for almost nine years she was an international graduate student. So here she is again back in her country, thinking about the intersections between epistemology and language that she has come across on this endless road to becoming a researcher and how she has dealt with these junctures.
