This history includes background of the bill, a summary of the bill (H.R. 1504), a discussion of the bill (including these sections: extension of time periods for application and initiation of training, authorization of appropriations, training and employment studies and reports, employability training and counseling, funding for state approving agencies, and expansion of the Commission on Veterans' Education Policy), and results of oversight hearings. Attachments are a Congressional Budget Office cost estimate, agency reports, a statement by R. J. Vogel (Chief Benefits Director of the Veterans Administration), and changes in existing law made by the bill, as reported. (YLB)
