The Career Development Model is a comprehensive and developmental approach to career planning that allows schools the opportunity to be more accountable to their graduates. This is accomplished by providing students with the knowledge and job search skills to help them cope with changing job opportunities. (JOW)

A constructivist framework for the practice of counseling, especially career counseling, is presented, including an Ethic of Authenticity.
