These two documents pertain to the "Parents and Schools: Success through Partnership" program. The presentation guide for school administrators and Teachers" is intended to help school personnel present the program and its associated video, which addresses common culturally-based causes of misunderstandings between Hispanic American parents and school personnel. The video highlights the importance of parents and schools working together to enhance the school experience of the Hispanic student. Suggestions for leading group discussions are given, along with an imagery exercise to help teachers and administrators put themselves in the place of Hispanic parents. "Guia para Padres Hispanos" is the Spanish-language guide for parents participating in the program. It introduces and expands on the video. Attached are an English-language and a Spanish-language brochure that describe the parent outreach program and review its materials. An order blank is included to request the program literature.
