Surveyed career services directors (N=154) to determine the nature and extent of burnout. Results showed a low burnout rate for this sample. Possible explanations include a combination of personal characteristics and working environment, although denial is also possible. The costs incurred and tax monies saved through the successful implementation of an ongoing job training and placement program for moderately and severely handicapped workers were analyzed.
