Discusses use of slides in second-language class and gives examples of teaching identification, abstract nouns, position and agreement of adjectives, personal pronouns, prepositions, objects of destination, and verbs. Suggests use of two slide projectors to teach sentence patterns that state a relationship between two entities. (BK)

Raphelson, Alfred C. – Teaching of Psychology, 1987
This study sought to determine whether slides used as a part of a lecture course on the history of psychology were promoting the educational aims of the course or merely acting as an "affective relief." Results showed a significant correlation between an unannounced slide recognition test and performance on other course examinations. (JDH)
