Knight, G. Diane; And Others – Journal of College Student Personnel, 1983
Surveyed recent college graduates (N=542) to determine differences between men and women in occupational status and career development. Results showed females employed full time reported significantly lower mean salaries than males across all occupational areas. Females were less satisfied with their career planning than males. Presents results of the Vocational Education Data System employer follow-up survey for graduates of 15 public community colleges in Massachusetts who were fully employed within 2 years of graduation. Finds graduates rated good or very good on quality of work and preparation. Finds females rated as highly as males but paid less. (DMM)
