Evidence supporting the need for special training for educational interpreters who provide services to deaf and hard-of-hearing students in instructional settings is reviewed. A baccalaureate-level degree program for educational interpreters to be offered by a consortium of four universities in Alabama and Florida is described. (Author/DB)

This survey of the 21 member institutions of 9 consortia in undergraduate social work education investigated the origin and development of collaborative programs, their structure and nature, and advantages and disadvantages. Results indicate that consortia that use rather than rival others' experiences are more successful. (Author/MSE)
